In this “so far no winter” winter, the chickadees have begun their spring call. The sun sets later and there is ambient light in the western sky until 5:15 p.m. Still a 7:35 a.m. sunrise but seems to lighten up more quickly. Mild again and the bunnies enjoy a run and sitting in the sun.

Beautiful stars this morning. I have to look up the early constellations. Heard the owl this morning at 5:45 a.m. as we tended the animals and brought in the paper. We used to hear them a lot at 1511 so are there fewer here? Our house better insulated so sound does not penetrate as easily? [...]
